Questions we get asked
Do I need to own a domain?
Yes. You connect a domain you already own and add a few DNS records at your registrar. Setup takes about fifteen minutes, most of it spent waiting for DNS to update.
Will this break the email I get today?
Not until you decide. The DKIM and SPF records are safe to add at any time and change nothing about the mail you currently receive. Your MX record is the switch, and you change it last, once your new address exists.
Do I pay for every address?
No. Addresses are unlimited on any domain you connect. Most providers charge per mailbox, so three projects with two addresses each means six subscriptions. Here it means six addresses.
Which assistants can reach my mail?
ChatGPT and other hosted assistants connect to the MailMoose MCP server by signing in once, with no key to copy. Claude Code and Claude Desktop run on your machine and use an API key instead. Start with a read only key and add sending when you are comfortable.
Can I use it for newsletters or app email?
No. MailMoose handles the mail people write to each other. Send campaigns, password resets, and receipts through a dedicated service, because bulk mail puts the reputation of every domain in your account at risk at once.
Can a colleague work one address without seeing the rest?
Yes. Access is granted per mailbox, so someone can run support@ without reading your personal address. Admins are not included automatically, and every grant is recorded.
